This exploration seeks to help infuse everyday spaces and places with increased opportunities for play (and learning).
Based on and inspired by the global art project "Before I die..." created by Candy Chang, the Play Wall concept was born out of shared belief (and scientific evidence) that play is not only fun, but it naturally helps children to learn about their big, exciting, confusing, and wonderful world.
The idea of this exploration, is that by inviting and engaging community through a shared prompt, children, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors from communities all around the world can unite in shared, meaningful moments thinking about play.
In doing so, the aspiration is further to remind adults about the joy and learning that comes from play, weaving conversation and advocacy or the importance of play into the fabric our communities.
