Internship in Design of Learning through Play activities, LEGO® Idea Studio
Mission. Driven. Do you have the passion to change the way the world learns? The LEGO Foundation is dedicated to building a future where learning through play empowers children to become creative, engaged and lifelong learners. We seek to improve quality early learning for children aged 0-12 with a particular focus on early childhood.
Our strategy includes three mutually reinforcing approaches: 1) supporting programmes that demonstrate effective approaches to learning through play, 2) building the evidence of the power of learning through play through a network of research partners and 3) advocating for the value of learning through play to critical stakeholders.
The LEGO Foundation is undergoing a period of significant growth. As part of the commitment to giving children better opportunities to reach their full potential, the owner family has transferred 25% of the Group to the LEGO Foundation. This enables the Foundation to take a long-term view in its approach to impact and partnerships.
The LEGO Idea Studio is an essential part of the Application Hub in the LEGO Foundation Centre for Creativity, Play and Learning. The Centre aims to be a leading authority on learning through play, and the LEGO Idea Studio is a physical place in the LEGO Idea House, where hands-on minds-on experiences are developed, demonstrated and facilitated for guests, colleagues and partners.
“With the LEGO bricks we can build anything we can possibly imagine as if they were glued and yet they can easily be taken apart and reconfigured into a new idea. When we do this we are not only creating, but also evaluating, reflecting and recreating to achieve new possibilities. We learn through play in a self motivated and fun way.” - The LEGO Idea
