Enable our learning agenda

We are in the middle of a global learning crisis according to the UN. To counteract this, we design, develop and facilitate initiatives with a potential to improve children´s outcomes through play and learning through play. Right now, we are identifying ways to scale up what we do through good advocacy initiatives and activities with a social impact.

Expand our network of partners

As an Initiative Lead, you join our Connecting Play and Education team in Billund, Denmark. Once settled, you will help us design and deliver innovative initiatives according to our mission. Doing so, you will collaborate across the LEGO Foundation as well as with government agencies and NGOs to follow up on our projects and enable our learning agenda. On this journey, you will help expand the global coalition of organisations and stakeholders calling for high quality learning service provision across the world as you:

• Build a pipeline of partners for the programme to influence national organisations as well as the programmes of agencies such as the Global Partnership for Education, World Bank, and UNICEF.
• Influence bilateral governments and their programmes, e.g. DFID and NORAD and others.
• Collaborate with new innovative partners to mobilise new technologies for learning and creative computing to influence education technology players in low income and emerging economies.
• Develop and implement programme initiatives grounded in advocacy strategies that will enable learning policy development and adoption on national level.
• Produce high quality reports, briefings, presentations and other written material for internal and external use to position our initiatives in global events and forums such as UNGA, WISE or WEF.

Expert on the international education sector

Simply put, your role is to strengthen our education programme and policy expertise while you develop and support a new programme of work on connecting play and education. With the ability to work independently and as a team, we expect you to develop new routes to position play more prominently in global and national learning programmes, and to do so, we imagine that you:

• Hold 10+ years of experience within the international education sector, providing you with a significant knowledge and experience of global education programmes and advocacy.
• Have a successful track record of developing and implementing education programmes in collaboration with major global education actors as well as NGOs and governments.
• Understand education policy in both developing and emerging economies and know how to develop policy positions and materials for a range of audiences.
• Have great networking and communication skills which you can use to engage, inspire, and motivate partners and build support for our learning through play agenda.
