Play based Learning
The LEGO Foundation is working to make play based learning a reality for children all over the world.
The Play Based Learning programme is about bringing playful learning tools and activities to children and achieving measurable impact on their intellectual, emotional, social and creative skills in specific countries or regions.
It involves product donations of LEGO play and learning materials as well as teaching the caretakers - parents, teachers, educators - about the importance of play and how to engage with children in a fun and dynamic way.
Building strategic partnerships with both local, regional and international organisations is also an important component. Through these partnerships we seek to reach and influence stakeholders such as governments, school systems and parents to embrace and use learning through play.
We start in South Africa and Ukraine, but will be adding more locations over time.

Please note that the LEGO Foundation does not accept unsolicited requests. To deliver on our strategy, we have decided to focus our resources on seeking out programmes and partners who are tightly aligned with our vision and will advance it very directly.
