Hanne Rasmussen steps down as LEGO Foundation CEO

I regret to inform you that Hanne Rasmussen, CEO of the LEGO Foundation, will leave her position by the 31st of January 2017. Hanne Rasmussen has been with the LEGO Foundation since March 2015 but has now decided to leave her position for personal reasons. Both Ms Rasmussen and the Board of Directors in the LEGO Foundation regret that the cooperation will end, but the Board understands and backs the decision.  

I would like to thank Hanne for her fantastic engagement and very strong passion for the LEGO Foundation and our mission. From the very beginning, Hanne has set the bar high and she has kept raising it. Hanne has contributed to take the LEGO Foundation a very important step forward towards our goal of engaging many more children all over the world in learning through play. 

The Board of Directors will initiate a recruitment process to find a successor for Ms Rasmussen. Meanwhile, from the 1st of February, Kasper Ottosson Kanstrup, Head of Communities of Learning Through Play, will act as interim CEO.
