The LEGO Foundation growing in both size and ambitions
Taking the first steps towards becoming a global champion of children’s quality learning, the LEGO Foundation is undergoing a period of significant strengthening and growth.
Over the last years, the LEGO Foundation has been gradually increasing activities to promote access to quality play and learning experiences. The tremendous success of the LEGO Group has resulted in a significant contribution towards the LEGO Foundation endowment in recent years, and the LEGO Foundation now seeks to apply these resources in a new and ambitious way.
Our ambitious aim means that the Foundation is right now working hard to ramp-up and make sure that the right skills, structures and systems are in place to support projects and meet future needs. This implies expanding the size of our current team and increasing our accessibility to collaboration partners and networks by complementing our Billund office with a second office location.
Based on a number of analyses related to global connectivity, legal factors, and talent accessibility, the choice has been made for Switzerland, where part of our team will be co-located with the Swiss KIRKBI team. The LEGO Foundation will remain a Danish foundation, with its home office based in Billund. Our growing team will be built up mostly across Denmark and Switzerland, with some staff being based on the ground in our projects across the globe.
We invite you to visit our site frequently over the coming months to read about employment opportunities within the Foundation.
