Empowering Children to Shape Tomorrow

The world is facing a global learning crisis. Out of the 650 million children at primary school age globally, 250 million are not learning basic literacy or numeracy, let alone the breadth of skills needed to navigate a rapidly changing and increasingly fractured world. Skills such as creativity, critical thinking, problem solving and collaboration.

LIC 2018

Under the theme of Empowering Children to Shape Tomorrow, the 2018 LEGO Idea Conference taking place on 9-11 April seeks to explore how learning through play can be a powerful part of addressing this crisis. Through an experiential and content-rich conference, we aim to build a deeper understanding of behaviours, motivations and aspirations that will help unlock more adoption of learning through play, transforming how children learn in the home, community and classroom.

The conference offers a vibrant and inspirational learning environment. It convenes some 400 experts, including leading academics, practitioners, innovators, international education organisations, government representatives and social entrepreneurs from around the world.

All participants are by invitation only which truly ensures a high level of debate and discussion as well as rich networking opportunities across professions, nationalities and expertise.

Join the conversation on social media using #LEGOIdea2018.
